Anybody ever rebuild their master cylinder using one of those kits? I've got the kit but all the tiny springs and washers scare me.

Piece of Cake! You will need a pair of retaining ring pliers, but that's it. Just make a note of how the parts come out, clean everything in brake cleaner, and reassemble. 20 minute job tops.
