I have had a cb550 for quite a while and i am going to start riding it because my 900 is not quite streetable. I am going for a sleek clean look and now the bike is totally stock. I am looking for some suggestions. So far i have a fiberglass front fender that im gonna paint black (bike color) and i purchased another rear fender so i can powdercote it black along with drag bars. Taillight suggestions?

I was thinking of grafting a 82 cb750 tail on the back of the stock seat to give it a little spoiler type look. I do have to whole seat are the honda seats all close to being the same, i didnt check it out yet.

if you are going to do that then make your own seat pan or modify a stock DOHC one. the DOHC F seats are plastic and so is the seat pan. If you are handy with epoxy and relativley creative you can probably rework one to look badass on a cb550. The DOHC F seatpans don't have hinges, they have L shaped brackets that bolt to the side of the frame and a tounge that slips under a brace in the frame in the front. the whole assembly is much heavier than a SOHC seat but it has the potential to be much lighter because of the plastic - you just have to get creative.

Airtech and Motocarrera both have whale tail style seats that are generic and could fit the 550 fairly easily.

dude you can't use this complex code in the board, it won't work. If you are using photobucket to host use the URL tag and then the image button in the posting window. I tired to fix it but I am at work and the server here blocks photobucket.

I,ll prolly modify theF seat because airtech wants $131 and i have gotten stuff from them and it was very poor quality and service.

I finally cleaned it up a little. I took some pictures of it. Before it was a stock looking 550 with the orangeish decal. I am waiting on my bars hopefully tomarrow. The only thing i want to change are the signals anyone know of a good spot for them and what kind?
