got to agree, wider is not necessarily better. just get as wide as you need. for the street I'd stick with close to stock sizes. love the avons but I've never raced on anything else. the sprint compound super venom (street tire) is sticky enough, I didn't like it much in the rain. but regardless that's what I run on my 550. rear is 130/70/18, front is 110/90/18, both bigger than stock but again I wouldn't say they're much better than stock sizes. only running that size because the front was on one of my 350f racebikes and was much bigger than necessary so I put it on my street bike. the rear I got from Joe. sad too, he was also only using about $75 of his $120 tire. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
AM22 Front, AM23 Rear, both SC, but not Venoms. Different tyre all together and still to much of a tyre for the 350.

where can I get spokes to lace the 18inch rim up on the 750 hub? I know all about building bicycle wheels and getting supplies for them but I know nothing about motorcycle stuff (obviously)

so avon AM22's and AM23's are the way to go? As soon as I get some handlebars Im gonna do some smokey burnouts on the old cheng shin (video to be coming soon)

you can get them directly from buchanons spoke and rim. they have a website. ive found them to be nothing short of a pain in the ass. well, that is certain persons there. its hit or miss. sometimes you get the really helpful person, sometimes you get as person who seems to know nothing and wants nothing to do with you. ive found i get the latter more often. i wish i had my emails from them still. youre better off going through your local dealer. someone you get old stuff like that from. youre in pa right?? near phili?? go to cosmo. ask for tex. hes got a 350 and he races, and he can hook you up. that and tex is just a wildman.

It's cool. I didn't think you were making fun. Even if you were, I deserve it. Way too much to drink. I don't like to preach, but hopping on a bike with too much to drink is just a bad idea, and I'll tell anyone that. If you'd like to make fun, have at it!

I was having a pretty good time, too, right up until I took that left turn too wide...

right, I always forget they're a different tiyer. I'd run the venoms if I were were but I ain't you. definitely toast the cheng shin!

watch when joe starts poking, you never know where he'll try to poke you. joe, you gave me your old race tire, $10. deal of the century! it's on my 550 now.

yeah, i remember now. i remember having it at the track trying to get rid of it. you might want to date that tire. that was a couple of years ago. i had it one season i think and it was pretty new when i got it. it should past its prime by now. the dunlops rule. no doubt about it. but for the street, i dont know. the smoke show is the best part.

when youre drinking, 4 wheels are definitely better than. its way harder to fall off of 4 wheels.

hey pokey, the guys who mounted that hated me. they were complaining how stiff it was and it took them forever to get it on the rim.

I remember almost killing aaron one night on four wheels, he was on two. the brakes in my rabbit were better than his bsa.

Usually when he says stiff and rim in the same sentence, he also says something about tongues, soft, and lovely, too...
I don't really understand, either. Whatever blows up your skirt, I guess.

hey, i made it to boston last friday in 6 hours flat from my house. and i stopped for gas in jersey on the pike! 400 miles in 6 hours. so you guys should ba able to make daytona in 18 at that rate. just watch out in ct. i heard that anything over 85mph and they consider it wreckless endangement. they lock you up for it.

hey aaron, stick with being the fist of justice in your little town up there. maybe doing 60 on main street will get you locked up in big ole wakefiled, but in ct its 85. (gee, could the limit be 55??) i know through ny the limit is 55. and ive heard the speeding tickets start at 200 bucks minimum now. when i last got a speeding ticket in ct, it was 55. if you dont believe me, let me know when you get pulled over.

on a racier note, marshall and i tore down his 350 motor last night. it lost a circlip. destroyed his 1000 buck cylinders. also seized the small end. it was real pretty. i gotta tell ya, that motor has more trick stuff in it. comparing it to my stock motor, it looks like a grand prix race car. hes got the duc back up and running. 45mm intake valve this time. holy crap, thats a big valve!

30 over 55 is 85. Also Boston, San Diego, Pheonix, and Trenton are pretty big cities as far as I'm concerned. Don't you live in a town where someone's mom and sister could be the same person. Criminal speeding is a felony. Felonies you can go to jail for (locked up). 30mph over any speed limit is a felony. You can't get locked up for just speeding. I also used to run for United Van Lines and probably have spent a few hours from here to florida more than the average poopie pants living in bumpkinsville. You have a big valve.

chi-town, ny, detroit, and la are big cities. bostons a little town, and if youve been up and down the coast, youd know that. hell, baltimore's bigger than boston! you townie boys all think your towns the biggest thing on the face of the planet. (stirring it up good here!)

marshalls motors toast. with the scoring on the small end, he hadnt decided what to do. the cranks lightened and balanced and needs to be looked at. i dont think he'll ever stop racing that bike. as long as he's spanking people left and right with it, i just dont see it happening. and hes always got buff to beat. although i think buffs faster than chris is now. anyway, he has a pretty decent attachment to that bike. hes won daytona on it, and the wera national championship. and the thing really is a monster. i hope to get a lap or 2 on it this summer. i wont race it, id just like to get a few practice laps on it. just to see what it feels like to ride a bike thats the same as mine, but with 80% more hp. bucky told me he knocked something like 3 secs off of his best lap times on it and wasnt even trying. and buckys pretty quick already. he said he was dragging his knee everywhere and had never even dont it before. that and chris said hed like to give jason porter a run.

chris was telling me about leading the last lwsv race at louden he was in. he said going into 1 porter passed him on the outside and decamp passed him on the inside. he said he knew who it was and immediately made the decision that steve hed enough money that he could afford to lay in the hospital for weeks on end, and jason was still young and dumb enough to not care. so he backed of. i think chris has lost his edge a little bit. or it really was that close. i think hes decided he just wants to race for fun now. which is what i think it should be about. although chris still goes as hard as ever. i dont think hes willing to take the chances he used to. i'll still never beat him. unless i can figure out a way to lose 80 lbs!

he was never planning on daytona. still protesting ahrma(??) hes also skipping barber. i think he'll be running vir. the same weekend i'll be out. i know youre going to be there. are you really going to drive to daytona, then less than 2 weeks later drive to vir?? trial by fire for the new van huh?? hes got some big parts for the 250. it'll be faster this year too. he claims still not fast enough for you beat me on it though.

my truck should go in at the end of next week. it'll be all fixed up for next season. what ever it needs, im doing. even if its a motor. im not going to buy some shitbox for 2000 then have to be fixing it left and right. i'll just pickup a target motor if i need to.

youre definitely not the average poopie pants living in bumpkinsville!

Joe your from Texas right?

I saw the inside - outside pass. It was close. I'd like to see Marshall run that bike in LWSV.

My new 200 will beat your bike at Summit this year and hopefully at VIR. I'm definately going to try and make all the races listed on the c-racer schedule.

Mike being from Trenton does make sense.
