So, has anyone else tried to order from this site?

I have been trying to order a set of cafe racer decals (CAFE RACER CROSSED FLAGS DECAL. Item #Part: 29) and the shirt of the same design (Item #Part: 9)... And it keeps telling me the shipping for the decals ALONE is 50.00 USD.
I'm prety sure it's supposed to be $5.00, but it's been like that quite some time.

I could easily have the decals made up for not too much more $(however the shirt would be much more expensive) but I really enjoy Carpy's builds and am using his RoadRocket as a bit of inspiration in my own build, so I feel I should give something - however insignificant - back to his buisness.

Thoughts?

Yeah sure.
These pics are from a few modifications ago... But I havent taken any in a while so I'll put em up.
As you can see the Seat upholstry isn't stapled on much at this point (had to come off to do some more work on the shape and to paint) And I havent yet cut off the rear fender / frame... Oh, And I have a different front fender now as well, much more Cafe than the one seen here.

I'll Be posting some more prograss pics when i get the thing ready for paint and painted.
BTW the thread on pinstriping.. I think i might use the masking option now too.

Absolutely, I am planning on doing the wheels black.
Thing is I unfortunately don't have access to a powder coater here in Newfoundland. So they'll have to be painted, and that kinda sucks.
Either way, it is going to be done this winter.

Thanks for the compliments by the way, good to hear about the motor.

You ever have trouble cold starting your 550?

No problems with starting it in cold weather. Just make sure you have a good battery.
If you live in cold winter states, take the battery out of the bike if you are not using it regularly, it holds more juice like that than conected by the poles in the bike.
Those are excelent bikes, mine was the white one with a red stripe on the gas tank and side covers model,A Seca 550 year 81. If I come across a nice 550 Seca, I would buy it on the spot. I always wanted to turn it into a cafe...but I sold it before that, at the time I was fixing up a Plymouth Belvedere, and I needed the money.

I had the same wheel design, one front disc, rear drum. I painted mine all white, snow white, and the wheels, gas cap, handlebars, black!
I loved the contrast. It had a 4 into one exhaust, it was a very sporty bike, I miss it!
