hey, rich, just something i noticed. i know on my racebike my rear inner fender rubbed when i had it just strapped across the frame like you guys did yours. your rear tire will hit it. especially when you hit the gas or a bump. you should take a look at that. most of them have to have a bump in them. i realize youve changed the subframe alot, but it looks pretty close.

I found some better shots of the cable stay on the rearset in the earlier photos, but I couldn't find one of the mount at the rear of the housing. Is in a machined part on the shock bolt? And where did you come up with the cable? I'm really looking forward to seeing the bike, as I plan to visit Mid-Ohio in July.

WE machined a piece but you could use angle and flat stock and do the same thing with a bit of weld then we attached it to the shock bolt you are right. I contacted Barnet and they made the cable. They have about 1 billion applications so just give them the thredpitch and size and you are done! oh yea you will need to spring the rear and front of the cable to keep the pedle from bouncing.
We will see you in Ohio!!!!

Rich: Great bike. Are you still putting it up for display at the Saratoga Auto Muesum? I am going to be down in Rhinebeck on June 9th for the Vintage MC show. I will try to make it back by 2PM to check it out!

Great article!

Pete
