Wondering if anyone can confirm if the head pipes and collector from a CJ360 will fit on a CB360? Any modifications needed?

I was considering going to a single pipe setup for the bike but hate the way the aftermarket ones look.<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yep. I checked to see and the cylinder heads have the same part number, which they do. I'm just concerned about if they fit around the frame okay.

Same frame, same engine - cj has a 5-speed instead of 6-speed, I think. For all intents & purposes, they're the same bike except for cosmetics. I've heard 360s all benefit from a 2 ino 1.

Weird. For the longest time I was under the impression that the frames were different. Good news though, I think I might go the CJ header way.

Funny indeed, as I have an old CJ 360 which I want to put CL pipes on!
My CJ pipes are off the bike.
If a little rust doesn't bother ya they're yours for shipping.

not 100% sure the frames are the same. I think the CJs had extra bracing in the back to accomidate the tail section. I don't have a stock exhaust on mine but I don;t see why the 2 into one would have any problems fitting another 360 frame.

Good point Geeto,
I cut off a big ole brace on the underneath of the frame below the engine and the right passenger peg i cut off also had an exhaust hanger on it. All the parts I cut off the frame are long gone, but from what I remember of them, the bottom CJ exhaust brace could have been specific to the CJ model frame only. It was mounted on a plate welded to a straight spot on the bottom frame rail IIRC.
