It's shit. Belongs in a lake.

Hehe... actually, I dig it - come a hell of a long way since the 'before' shot. Agreed on the front suspension - looks great. Good move on the seat replacement, but that new one's got a truly massive hump. Is that going to work out?

Great work so far.

Looks like you won't have enough swingarm travel before interferring with your rear brake arm.

Nice job though. Must be LOUD!

Looks like a real nice job. I like the XR-TT heat shield in the before shot, that would look cool on the after bike in my opinion

Gents:

Many thanks for the comments. The exposed coils are actually stock Honda bits for the 69 model year—at least on the CL350. They were covered with fork gators, which I removed. I think the springs look better.

You’re right about the hump, and I’m pretty dissatisfied with it. However, it is what it is until the spring. Not only is it heavy, it is pretty fugly. I do think that once painted and with a gumball on it, it will look better. We’ll see.

The bike is loud, but not abrasively so. I used to think the same thing about the swing arm smacking the brake lever. But the brake leaver swings upwards in exact proportion as the swing arm, so it will never hit. At least that’s the idea. It hasn’t hit yet.

The doily paint…I don’t think that is factory. I think the factory paint was actual some sort of blue and white. I was sad to see her go.

I actually still have that heat shield. I should look at putting that on…

I like the brake stay. How much?

I also have a CB360 that I’m cafeing right now. It is going to have the Benelli tanks that Cosmopolitan Motors sells on eBay, only I’m having it alumi-coated to look like real aluminum. I’m also going to make a buck for an aluminum seat.

Thanks for all the responses.

You're right, but I sold that old seat to buy huge one. I think a smaller, aluminum one will look much better. But here in Texas, the riding season is right now--not the heat of the summer--so I'm anxious to get this thing back on the road.

--Thanks, Chris

That explains a lot about you.

So does my 350, can I get one in a custom length?

I watched most of the build (impatiently) on your own site, and enjoyed the "First ride" thread at DTT (gay site). Bike looks good. Seems like you've decided not to sell?

Sell it? No, not now. It's currently proudly displayed in the front window of my office at home. My wife loves that one. I looks like a scene from A Christmas Story.

I just saw kit a few minutes ago. He's fine; just busy. He helped me paint my seat.
