I recently purchased for my 74 HONDA CB 360 a new set of clubman handlebars and in my hands they look kind of wide? I measured them from bar end to bar end and they are 27.5" is that to wide? can I trim them? I would just put them next to the bike and see but it is in the shop. How hard will it be to change the handlebars myself? Do I need replacement cables that are smaller? and where can I find them and what lengths would I look for?

Don't trim anything until you get them on the bike. They are very easy to install yourself and the cables can usually be routed slightly differently so you don't need to replace them
