if it's just cracked at the boot, the boot should unscrew, then you can cut the bad part out, then rescrew the boot back on. you can get replacement coils for like 20 bucks i think from den kirk. but you'll need wores and boots for them i think. if you have slack though, inscrew the boot, cut it off, then put the boot back on. i do it all of the time. you should also be able to pick up some used coils on ebay for next to nothing. if i had any i could spare, id offer them up. i go through them on a regular basis though.
