Hey Craig I just started to fit the VTR forksI bought from Branson. Could I ask you a few questions? Did you ever fit a drum brake on a set of these? What did you use for an anchor for your backing plate link? How much fork oil do you use? And,what air pressure do you use? Sorry if I'm a pain in the ass but I just figured out that my 450 forks are way bent. Could explain the bad chatter that I have been fighting for a while.
Thanks Steve

Hey thanks for the input.I looked up these forks on the honda parts list and saw what Craig was talking about. My forks are for the standard type disc brake but the lugs to mount the caliper are on the right side.I need them on the left. The swap puts the lugs on the front of the fork leg.I don't know what kind of forces we are dealing with herebut having the lugs behind the leg sure is more appealing.Should I be worried if I use them on the front?I would make a link that would use both lugs on the fork leg.Is there any advantage to having the link further up the leg?One way I came up with would have a link that would be horizonal. It would mount only a few inches above the axel.Is this bad? I'll keep looking at it and any ideas that come up I'll listen.
tt I hope that this is the last of the stuff I have to replace.T2 ha! maybe we should let me go first next time.I think I'm cutting it a bit close here,it's almost the middle of the month,so much to do.
