It was 51 today, so the guy that lives across the road from my shop takes out his winter project for a blast. He had to pull it up to my open doors after to rubb it in too. '83 CB1100. Fresh black paint, has all the parts except a bushing he wants me to machine to put on a Ducatie single sided swing arm, and he's putting a turbo on it next week!!! I hope it snows hard the rest of the winter so I don't have to see it again anytime soon, jealousy is a bitch.

If it was easy, everyone would do it.

Yeah...I live in Winnipeg Manitoba, up here in Canada. Right now it's sitting at a comfortable -25 degrees celcius. Yesterday it was -42. Keep in mind that the thermometer meets on both scales at -40 degrees.

On the bright side, only 2 more months until it's official riding season!

My pee froze in my weenie today....I had to smash my dick with a hammer to take a piss. Then my eyelids froze open and my asshole froze shut, then I slipped on the ice and my foot broke right off, then I got buried under sixteen feet of snow and my nuts were eaten by snow rats.

We all need ice bikes, but then it's been so warm here in NY that the ice hasn't been that good anyways. Couldn't have rideen anyways with my back troubles but I should be good for next year. My Honda CR500 ice bike now has a fresh top end on it. I've got the hex lug that goes in the end of the mag', now I've got to figure out some kind of electric starter setup to drive it. Any ideas anybody?

Doug,
Do you mean an "on bike" electric starter...or a handheld starter?

The Honda twins have a neat little setup. The starter motors are a dime a dozen ( I think Phil uses two of them on his mini roller setup). They drive the crank through this really cool clutch setup that uses these rollers...in one direction is spins absolutely free...turn it even like 1 degree in the other direction and it locks up solid. They are really amazing little devices. It's chain drive from the motor to the larger starting sprocket/clutch. This setup might make a cool hand held starter with a plate machined to hold the parts together.
