Daytona dreaming

We want to go to Daytona/Jennings in March. Anybody with experience have any tips? The plan is to fly from Maine/NH, ship the bikes and ride to events at the tracks (And avoid downtown.) Is there a smart way to do this? Anybody hauling bikes down there for $$? The idea is to maximize Florida time and minimize work lost time. I think the Harley poseurs do this sort of thing all the time, maybe I should ask my dentist. He's Baaad.
