Distinguished hipster ride

Doesn't seem to be a lot of hype about it this year.

Anyone doing it? Or, as usual, am I a year late on hipsterisms?

I've been given an Avirex A2 Leather jacket and am so far resisting temptation for growing a hipster moustache & beard to go with it.

I am likely doing it, if only to be able to tell all of them in person what is wrong with their bikes. For instance the Gasser Custom's CB750 which just reused the stock interceptor rear sprocket, even though the CB750 has a 1:1 primary ratio, compared to like 3:1 on the V4.

I had wondered why his "built" motor with a big bore kit was so slow and sounded so bad when Jay Leno rode it, and then I saw it was way, way, way over geared.

Not sure if I will wear my purple suit, or ride the bosozoku bike though.

I had not seen anything (just checked out the site) but I may do it this year in NYC. Hipster or not, fuck cancer. Anybody else interested?

You've piqued my curiosity... I wonder if my 160 would be a suitable mount?

It kills me to say this though... I don't have anything to wear! Anything appropriate that is. Aside from a vintage style helmet.

There seems to be a pretty wide range (of the 16 on the Facebook page), including a Stella scooter. I don't think it'll break out in a race. Just don't think it's the idea of the ride.

Though the ride down may take longer than the ride. Trailer?

I'm hitting the Sal for duds.

I've been thinking about getting a bike carrier that mounts on a receiver for a few years now, this may be the excuse to finally do it. My 160 weighs in at just under 250lbs with a few gallons of gas in the tank. Should be no problem for the mighty Grand Cherokee.

I'm not sure the bike would work with any of the wheel chocks I have for trailers anyway... 17" wheels but full fenders.

Any idea what the route would be, or even the location? Ypsi is about as far from home as I want to ride that thing, it is NOT a highway bike. Once the speed limit gets above about 45 I get nervous. It'll do 60 but not if there is any sort of (up) hill involved.

I'll have to check out the Facebook info.

EDIT: I wonder if I could get my 350 streetable in the next few weeks? Nope, not gonna try...
Mainly Woodward. Royal Oak, Birmingham, Ferndale and they're saying maybe Highland Park (ford plant) for the turn around. I don't think Woodward gets much over 45.

If it were bicycles I'd just have you sit on my wheel, I'd pull you...
I just finished registering so I guess it's official. Time to start growing my beard???

Oh holy crap they have it in red! Where were you three weeks ago when I had to interview for the job I already have? This with an Errol Flynn stick on waxed mustache would have terrified them so badly they would have given me the job outright!
