Has anyone gotten any of the Dunlop KR825 from Phil Lamount?

I've been screwing around with this idiot RC Barker since freakin febuary. He has out and out lied to me three times. In Feb he said they would be in in two weeks, then twice he told me they were coming in the next day. I just got off the phone with him and he says they will be in any day now. I told him I've heard the same story three times and he's like I know, I know but we playing catch up blah blah blah...I told him if I don't have them in two weeks I'm going to be fucked.
What a freakin moron this guy is.

I had started the ball rolling with Phil and haven't heard anything yet. When I called the I was counting on May being the start of my season so it wasn't a rush. I keep meaning to call him to see what's up but just haven't gotten to it yet.
He was looking into ordering the soft compound fronts too.

I know a couple of people who have given up on Barker and Lamount and now just order them from the UK where they are easy to find. Last time I ordered tires from the UK it wasn't too bad, but the exchange rate has gone to shit since then. Right now it could easily run $190 each with shipping.
I don't just run the Dunlop for the weight, the small Avons that are appropriate for the 175's are pieces of shit. You want to scare yourself sometime check out the contact patch on the Avons compared to the Dunlops at full lean. The larger Avons seem nice, much better profile. The little Avons look like some mold they haven't changed since the 1940's. I was running on the sidewalls of the Avon the first year I used them. Plus half of little Avons are either dried out or so out of shape it takes 3 ounces to balance them.
To get a nice Avon you have to put on one about two sizes larger than the bike needs, then you are talking some real weight.

I've been thinking of trying to write some emails to Dunlop and work my way up the food chain to tell them their US distributor is a freakin piece of crap that makes them look very bad.

If you want to put together a group order, I'll be in for at least two tires, if not four.

Seriously. Lemme know if you need $dough up front.
I'll let you know models and sizes. Otherwise, I'll run Avons this year.

I'd be up for putting the money in advance as well. Who in England are they coming from? Dunlop?

So Branson, not to piss you off more but I talked with Barker at tech at Deland who had a red wagon full of them for sale. When I got over to him he had two left and said that he was holding them for one of good riders.

This is the best guide I could find
http://www.dunloptyres.co.uk/site/tyres/motorsportRange/motorcycle/index.shtml

Anyone have a better guide?
I run a 90/90r18 front and 110/90r18 Avons.
Looks like I'll need a KR825 front and KR124 rear, as I have a 1.85 front rim and a 2.15 rear rim.

Anyone use/like these tires? Got a picture of the tread pattern? I'll take anything that doesn't have the Avon RoadRunner Universal tread pattern, I freakin hate those things.

Bill,
Let me know ASAP if you get a line on the soft compound ok?

I'll get off my ass in the next couple of days and see if he made any progress.
I'm not looking forward to using square Avon on the front of my bike again this year

Google "Dunlop KR825" and about three places show up in the UK that sell them. Most run about 87 pounds each.
I have no idea if they would offer a volume deal or not. I've ordered tires from "Tony Salt Racing Tires" in the UK before, no problems.

Aaron, that's always Barker's deal, he's a stupid fuck that likes to pretend his Mr. Allen doleing out rare race tires to professional racers. Why he doesn't just order enough of them I'll never know. You should become the North East Dunlop tire distributor.

Theres obviously enough business to order a bunch. And I don't mean business to make money but enough business that we all might save if we get a bunch. I hate not having something just cause its a pain to get, thats why I was asking. I'll talk to Hutch and see what his ins are in the UK. Hes not really in to road racing but hes always a huge help. Theres got to be a better solution then Barker. I'll run Avons again before I do business with that dude. Hes kind of a piss ant. Some reason I thought I caught wind of someone actually picking the tyres up for him in England, and I'm pretty sure that guy is Mooney. I'll see what I can find out.

Oh great..... Barker sent the tires....FedEx lost the tires.

You would think the FedEx guy would have noticed that the envelope he delivered to my porch didn't weigh 21 freakin pounds and didn't include 3 freakin tires...both of which were written right on the front of the envelope.
Unbelievable the retards that seem to be norm in the workforce these days.

harsh. I hate it when you order something and then it gets "lost" Friend of mine sent me $130,000.00 worth of books to photograph in a trunk (15 books) and sent it overnite UPS. trunk ddidn't show up for four days . . . He was kinda worried.
