I got one set from Phil a few years back...arrived at the door...surprise...$38 UPS fee for bringing them into the country.
I've gotten a dozen or so from Barker...he's kind of weird. But once a set of three got lost in transit...all that arrived was the envelope with the invoice. Called him, he had three more on the way immediately without even waiting to track down the others. Strangely enough...I've talked to several people who have had his tires go missing...cause he refuses to strap them together securely.
And Barker is just kind of weird the way he does business...likes to pretend he's a big time Dunlop race tire guy and holds tires back for some people, will say he's out when he's not yadda yadda.
Right now he'll give you all kinds of grief, telling you he has to have all kinds of stuff ready for Daytona so he can't sell shit etc.
Only thing good about Barker is he usually has a lot of them in stock.
Know your compounds, the KR825 is made in:
564 Soft, 701 Med/Hard, 950 Med/Soft
But very rarely will you see more than one compound being made at any one time. Last time I checked they were making the 950 compound only...which is cool cause that's the best overall compound.
It's so pathetic that a person has to go to one of these guys..Phil in Canada, Barker in the US....and Dunlop won't even talk to anyone else about vintage race tires.
Your other option is getting them sent over from the UK.
