So, I had this Ducati front hub up for auction. My auction says..."only ships to the USA". So this guy from Spain bids on it....so I email the guy from Spain and tell him I only ship to the USA so retract your bid, don't bid anymore etc. So now he wins the auction and wants to know how much to ship it to Spain.
The guy was obviously using some kind of translator software to email me. Holy Jebus, what a pain. He'll probably leave me bad feedback because emailed him again and told him I'm not shipping it to Spain...freakin thing sold for $20, it would cost $60 to ship it to Spain.

JB,
If you didn't already know, as the seller you can also cancel buyer's bids at any time if you find it necessary. If you answered his e-mails using e-bay's e-mail system and still have them filed, you can probably get it worked out.

jb,

do you include shipping with your auctions? i never do and ship all the time overseas. it really isn't that hard, and i print out from home using ebay/paypal/usps and a bathroom scale.

i got some stuff going to germany and japan tomorrow.

i like the fact that my auctions are open to a larger audience worldwide. i haven't been screwed yet.

my 2 cents.

i shipped some cbx stuff to japan. no problems. in japan from what i heard they didnt offer the cbx in the 1100. so they are very desirable bits. so tex is right, there is a bigger market other places for things. although, if you said no outta country, too effin bad.

I'll ship out of the US for more expensive items...but when the shipping it two or three times the cost of the item then it's too much potential for unhappy people.
Like the person that wins a $20 item and shipping is $60 so they decide they don't want it anymore.

Didn't know I could cancel bids...and yes I've saved all my communications.

I ship to and from Australia pretty often...never any problems. But when there is a language barrier too it can be a pain.

idiots are idiots. you cant keep someone from being unhappy. if its not that, they'll find something else. if the guy thinks he can have a 20lb item shipped for 15 bucks, then hes an idiot. he fucking deserves it. on the other hand, maybe he really doesnt care.

Imslow,

Do you have any idea where in NJ the spring Giro will be? That is pretty close to me, hope I don't have to work that Sat. Will you be riding that outrageous Yamaha??

Johnny B,

Just tell the guy from Spain the shipping $10 more than the PO charges to make it almost worth your time to deal with it.
I had the same thing happen selling a camera. USA sales only, jerk from FRANCE asks if I would ship, say no! He bids anyway. It took a while but I figured out how to cancel his bid. Since I don't take paypal international sales are a pain in the butt. I take credit cards at my business so have done that the few times I sold international, or they wire me the $ via western union, which egay frowns upon.

If you write to him just don't use words like bandejo or hijo de puta.
