I've gone through every manual, still stumped. The cam chain sounds tight? All was fine till I re-set the tensioner as per the manual. No it sounds tight or like it's rubbing on something. Chain does'nt seem worn as the tensioner does'nt have to travel far... I dunno.

yes, it's the cb350........again.

If you haven't had the engine apart it may be that the adjustment was the last straw and the tensioner self destructed.

You've probably done this...but open up the point cover, and the altenator cover, turn the crank back and forth and see how much movement you get out of the crank without moving the camshaft...should be about none.

Usually a properly adjusted chain is fairly quiet unless the tensioner is dying.
