Here's my tale. I need to extend some header pipes with a 45' bent angle piece before it reaches my mufflers. The headers are aftermarket 1.75" OD single-walled pipes (and about the lightest headers I've ever felt - they're NOS Hookers). Is there a nice way to join two pipes of the same diameter without welding, i.e. some kind of coupler clamp? ...or perhaps cut one pipe on two sides, expand and clamp over the other?

Thx.

Best bet is probably to take the pipes to an exhaust shop, I know that Stainless band clamps usually look pretty good and work well

Alex,
I have found exhaust pipe couplers that will join 2 pipes of the same od at Farm and Fleet. There is one on Stoughton Rd (Hwy 51) Just north of the beltline. It is about across from the Kawasaki/ Ducati dealer.
