I have a few questions for the FCB'ers here:

-for those who run Johnny's trapp set-up... How many plates do you run?

-anyone else running a 2-1?

-what gearing are people [email protected] NHIS?

-valve gap?

Muchos gracias!

Thanks y'all.

I'm to be in the ballpark w/ gearing. The trapp/ 2-1 combo will just have to be an experiment.

Thanks for all the input and info fruitcakes! As you may gather from the type of questions I'm wrapping things up for the track day. Once, twice, three times over, safety wired, yadda yadda. Just going over my punch list before I get some test runs in.

It would be great to get some time on a Dyno... the owner of Celtic Racing said he'd run a CB on his dyno, dunno if I can afford it though. I should call.

TT,
Did you and soto do this test weekend yet? I'd like to get in on that.

JB,
Thanks for the info, once all the parts are where they should be I'll be ready to attempt 'tuning'... not quite ready yet. I'd like to meet Pete anyway.

Thanks! It is a great help to see all the different set-ups people run, especially knowing the result! Obviously riding style and feel are a big part of it too... and 49hp can't hurt!

My hope was to have a good idea of the gearing range people are running, I think this thread has laid it out in pretty simple terms.

Chris, just a heads-up.. I will be shooting you an e-mail soon.

Those 200gp races are the shit to watch! The grid shouldn't get too packed, some of us need to see y'all dice it up for inspiration! I was on the fence with Monkey at a race where Johnny was leading, he turned to see where Frank was and THERE HE WAS right on his ass I think JB jumped a bit not expecting him to be so close. Pretty freakin' cool to watch.

As for this thread, I think it's great. We have hashed out the basics for setting up a CB race bike so many times, this is the icing on the cake.
