for street riding, where you could be finding big puddles for long periods, you definitely need a fender between the rear tire and carbys, unless you have an airbox still. you need a front fender. although it is cool to see rocks launched out from your tire in front of you. its especially cool when shit flies out, up into the air, then you crash into it while its still flying! rain sucks.
