I am looking to start my first project bike. Currently looking at a Kawasaki 550 ltd for transformation into a cafe. A bit big but price is right.

Your suggestions are appreciated

No they won't.
you don't want to hear how wrong you are doing it...

didnt offer much actuall info, but here's where I see it.

ltd is a faux chopper/custom, so it's a terrible base to start with.
you hinted at it being bad, but figure you will just work with what you have....FAIL!
none of this shit is rare so no reason to not have the right bike to start with.
if you can't afford to buy the right bike, then you can't afford to modify any bike.

550 big? what are you a midget?

the price is never right....unless you are buying a finished running, riding motorcycle.

The only thing worth keeping off a 550LTD is the engine....even then it's no widow-maker as far as power goes.
the gpz is cool. bye the way what ever became of the guy who was trying to put the triple gas tank on the gpz550?
