Hey guys, I have a 78 gs550 that I picked up for dirt cheap. It's my first bike ever and I am loving the cafe style. One issue I have ran into is converting my turn signals to LEDs. I am assuming I need a resistor and can't just plug and play? If a resistor is needed? How do I know what kind or size??

Just go buy an LED turn signal solenoid. They are all over eBay. Match up the picture to what you have (should be three wire square type).

It is also sometimes called a flasher relay.

If you install resistors it negates the benefit of low draw of the leds, so your modification would be only for show.

Think about it for a moment. What does a stock bike or car have - One per lamp or just one?

one solenoid per bike. You do NOT need four. you do need a manual so you can open up the wiring diagram portion and find the flasher solenoid.
