Hey Y'all,

I'm replacing the fork seals on a '86 VFR700. The Honda repair manual specifies filling the forks with ATF (for Christ's sake!). I'm wondering what weight fork oil would be a good alternative to freaking ATF? Anybody?

Honestly every model bike responds differently. On a CB550 in street trim they recommend atf...on a race track you want something way thicker like 15wt.
Typically Honda street front ends are very softly sprung and damped. I'd go with thicker oil and a spacer in the springs....depends on how hard you ride, how hard you get on the brakes etc.
