I haven't posted on here in months b/c my girlfriend's CB550 is sort of on hold right now. That my be the case, but I am always on the lookout for a proper cafe project for myself. While taking a shortcut through some neighborhoods today I ran across this beauty (at least to me), and figured I would share it with you guys and see if it is something i should pursue. I know there is allot of cafe support for the BMW's but I don't know about the R90/6 specifically.

What do you guys think?

I've always liked those engines, just wish they had a kick start...

If the price is right, do it! There's lots of potential with that bike. I'm no expert, but I'd guess somewhere around $2500 to $3000 if it's running, a little south of that if it isn't.

I'm guessing that it runs as it was sitting outside the garage. If the guy just has it as something to ride I am thinking he might work a trade with me for my fixed up '98 DR650se. I'm not holding my breath, but it's worth a shot.

Hey a DR650 is also a cool bike. Not a cafe racer, but a great dual sport and commuting bike.

Oh yeah, i love the DR but I guess I am getting tired of it. It gets outstanding gas mileage and definitely turns heads (or at least kinda confuses people) looking the way it does right now.

Every one be thinking positive thoughts tomorrow as I plan to try and catch the owner. I'll be riding the DR over with the title in my pocket to see what happens.

looking at the dumb ass fairing ,he uses it like acar ,Im sure he is an old Buck with a zztop beard and will have to pry it from his hands. Bring a bag of good weed to mull it over with him maybe you will appeal to his sences as the next rightful owner .PEACE

Well, I may have a secret weapon to combat the Old Buck... I just got this picture today from a guy wanting to trade for my DR. It came up b/c I was talking to him about a sportbike that his friend was selling.

It's a 1990 VS1400 Intruder...I think he might think pretty hard about giving up the bimmer for that.

Well no luck so far. The guys creepy little boy was the only one home today, and he wasn't saying much. If the pops is anything like the kid I really doubt I will be able to work anything out. The worst part is that the kid wouldn't even give me a hint when his dad would be home. I think I kinda scared him, and he was afraid I was planning something...like I said, creepy.

yeah something about the bikes apearance to me in the pictures .I could imagine the guy that was riding it .But he may go for your trade as ,Id say he is also a cheap soul. Not frugal just a cheap prick and I dont even know this guy.
Id park it in his spot so he has to look at it when he does get home. Then go and tell him you have a bag of weed and this bike for his bike .It does have all the things he likes windsheild saddle bags .HE JUST MAY DO IT.

Well I'm done with it... I talked to the wife today and she is just as weird as the kid. Basically she was just trying to get rid of me the whole time we were talking. I mentioned talking to her husband about the bike, and all she kept saying was that he wouldn't sell it, nor would he get rid of it. the bitch wouldn't even let me know a time to come talk to him, just TALK to him about the bike.

F'em, they can keep their disgraced BMW. I'm sad that it will have to continue to live in that shame...
