yes i am using snap ring pliers i have three of them and they are all too short it's driving me up the wall the closest place that may have something i could use is like 20-30 minutes away....i was thinking if there is another trick i could do.....

i gave up and drove 25 minutes to a friend's shop and he pulled out the full set of snap ring pliers.....none worked so he bent two picks in the fight to get the snap ring out, so it's out and now the fun begins......

When they are difficult I usually take a small punch and and hammer and break it loose by sticking the punch in one of the little holes and hammering inward (or outward if its an external ring) this usually works wonders.
