Scott, I've heard that...but I can't figure why they would cancel the race just because a helipad is there...if it's there.
I figure I know where they would build it....that big flat empty spot behind where most people setup. Wouldn't effect our racing far as I can see. But...with NHIS's attitude towards us they probably figure we would screw it up somehow.
I love when it's been raining and all the LRRS guys are parked on the grass...when get there.....no parking on the grass. We really get treated like second class citizens there.

If Frontier gets canceled permanently....the USCRA is done. That would leave a whopping 4 days of racing for the entire year. 3 events...two of them 1 day events. I don't count Laconia or Giro as racing, both cool events...but it's not racing.
If the rumor is true...then the end is near. If it's not true...well then lets just hope we have a better schedule next year.

I was talking to a long time USCRA racer today who now prefers AHRMA events...he said the USCRA gets slagged badly at other events. Said the USCRA now has a reputation as being a bunch of rag tag junk bikes. Which isn't really fair. But...with mostly one day events...the guys with the cool stuff aren't going to drag it for eight hours for a one day event.

But...like I said, I'll keep supporting the club as long as it's running races, few though that might be.

I look forward to some official annoucement on Frontier. If it's canceled I'll gear up and do the Giro, I can't afford to do both this year, but if there is no Frontier I'll get the Giro bikes ready, if there is a Frontier I'll have to pass on the Giro and do the race.
Giro sounds like another good one this year, if I know George he's found a good route, hopefully as good as the previous years. Very cool event, I'm going to miss it if I don't go.

that pretty much would suck if it is true. i really enjoy that event. it is strange that there isn't much of a turnout for it. last year was a washout but the year before was awesome. i was surprised that we did not have more evnts there this year. i believe we were promised a couple of frontier land weekends. what ever happened to that???

Same here, Frontier is one of my favorites, nice relaxing 2.5 day event. I like it so much I don't even care if it rains there. It's my last little vacation before winter, just want to hang out with everyone. The people that show up there are the best, the coolest people in the club, the people that want to race and party.

Just goes to show, we don't need anything fancy to race, just give the right people a piece of pavement and we can have fun. Sure wish there was some little track off the beaten path where we could get all the dates we want.

Matt,
Didn't you like set yourself on fire last year? I was kind of drunk so I don't remember that well...but I remember we were wet and cold and I think you were on fire for a few minutes.

Seriously...I've been working on the clearing out back in hopes that in a year or so I can have a big party here. Trails to ride, bonfire, all kinds of bullshit. It will be close to my 50th b-day.

Ya know, if the party....Frontierland is canceled, one of us should definitely host a party. Have a dirtbike ride or something. Chip in for a pigroast and a keg.

That's what I liked about Frontierland: end of the year feast, no matter what the weather was like. Hell, I've never raced at Frontierland, just came up for the people and food.

I guess at this point Frontier is a GO.

Seems NHIS will add about 100 yards of pavement to try to solve the problem with the Heli-pad. That's the word at present.

Although I don't have a lot of faith in NHIS getting the job done in time. Will be great if they do.

Frontier is definetly going to happen. They are not going to be points races but you will get a point for participation.

Tim Kennedy will be doing the pig roast again along with my coleslaw. I promise to put some real special ingredients in the slaw so you all go slower so camehairy has a chance!!

Bon Fire to be done by caferacer.net with tanner and donavan doing the heavy drinking.

Hey, freakin great news. I'll be there rain or shine.

I'll let everyone know in a few days if that 1 point can make a difference in any championships. If he's only 1 point up maybe we could kidnap Champ and tie him up so he can't make it....hehe..then the championship could end up a tie....get it? A tie hehe.

I haven't see it yet...but if it's enough of a chichane the way it is, it should slow the riders quite a bit and perhaps not be an issue.
Personally I thought that down hill section was a bit too fast anyway, specially coming into that hairpin left.

There has been some very hard racing there the last couple of years....for the most part the event wasn't intended to be that competitive, but when they reversed the track it was so nice that people just responded and started hauling ass.

I'll be there no matter what they run.
