C12 smells like water compared to some of those other fuels that really really stink.

I wouldn't mind trying some of the 109E...sounds kind of like the best of both worlds, oxygenated but enough octane. C12 is very forgiving but I think the octane hurts power a bit. Problem is these old engines with their vintage valve angles and big combustion chambers need the high dome pistons for compression and that leads to combustion problems and detonation.

I did run my engine once on a C12 pump gas mix...didn't seem to like it...it ran, but once it got nice a hot just didn't perform as well.

Wish I had a dyno.

Bear in mind, the VP fuel truck will probably be no where in site for any of our races.

Last year when I bought C12 at the Honda shop down the street from NHIS it was $45 for a five gallon can. The stock car racers usually pump it out of a drum for around $6/gal.
Heck one five gallon jug will last our bikes at least two races.
