C12 smells like water compared to some of those other fuels that really really stink.
I wouldn't mind trying some of the 109E...sounds kind of like the best of both worlds, oxygenated but enough octane. C12 is very forgiving but I think the octane hurts power a bit. Problem is these old engines with their vintage valve angles and big combustion chambers need the high dome pistons for compression and that leads to combustion problems and detonation.
I did run my engine once on a C12 pump gas mix...didn't seem to like it...it ran, but once it got nice a hot just didn't perform as well.
Wish I had a dyno.
