Fuel Shortage

Hey...can anyone going to Granite St. pick me up a 5 gal can of VP-C12 from that Honda dealer down the road from NHIS before the races on Monday?

I'd do it myself but I figure they will be closed on Sunday, and Labor day. I'd hate to get out there and have no fuel.

Be advised the stuff is about $50 for a 5 gallon can. I'd of course repay the cash on Sunday night or Monday.

My local guy is getting $7.50 a gallon. You need to supply the container. But he is anticipating an increase this week. But he said it shouldn't be the $3.00 a gallon more that you're paying. I was going to go there next week but since the price goes up when he gets the new shipment I will probably stop over there tomorrow. I've got an extra 5 gallon can. Want me to pick you up some?

That would be tremendous. Grab me five gallons and I'll bring a can to transer it too....if you want to keep yours.
I'll pay you for transport, storage, handling and any other misc fees you can think of...and I'll make you a sandwich.

JD...hehe I have post it note on my desk right in front of my reminding me to email you and ask if your fuel was U4 or C12 :)

I'm a C12 guy...the U4 smell makes me feel like puking.

Craig...we still on bro....I'm paranoid cause I won't be bringing any fuel to the track. And my grenade may blow without C-12.

I think that depends a lot on the bike and the level of modification. Oxygenated fuel does work I know that (heard from a lot of sources anyway). Can be quite tough on the carb and valves though. The oxygen content likes to corrode stuff..............or something.

What if it's pouring rain and I don't go. Can I send you a check and you can keep the fuel....I'm half serious. Pretty sure Marty isn't going...I think he's done with one day events, or I'd have you give it to him if I don't show.
Anyway...I'll probably be there sitting in the rain like everyone else...but just wanted to explore my options. I know it would make me a terrible cad if I asked you to bring me fuel and didn't show.

Yes I just emptied a 5 gallon VP can. I'll have soggy, cold peanut butter sandwiches ready.

PS. Craig/Aaron...there's always Frontier...I'll be there if they run it, rain or not. Aaron if you pick up the fuel for me I can get it from you at Frontier.
Course I'd rather not talk like I'm not going to GS yet.
