I really want one for this wannabe CR450 thing I'm building. Seems like the CB450 already sucks at cooling it's self and fairings seem to be designed to work at high speeds. It hits 100f and higher here most of the summer. Should I be looking at a top oil system with oil cooler before I even think about a fairing? Even then, will it blow up in city conditions (not so much traffic, 40mph and stop lights here and there)?

I don't have the money right now anyways, I'm just bored and thinking ahead.

Oh, the bike runs and rides great, brakes, suspension and engine have all been rebuilt. So now I'm playing with the looks. Haha.

I don't think a full fairing would be any different than not running a full fairing running at 40mph between stop lights... If your really concern - jet the bike a little richer than normal and enjoy. It really depends how hot the weather gets in your location.

Properly designed fairing will duct air at 40mph and keep engine plenty cool.
Most fairings are not well designed though and have no 'inside' ducting

The only one I have looked at is the airtech CR 450 race fairing. Either way I won't have the funds till July or so.
