how long has everyone on this list been riding for?? im just curious. i started riding about 5 years ago. (when i got my street license) i rode little dirt bikes as a kid, but that was about all of the riding experience i had. i had my street license for about 2 years befgore i started into racing. it might not have even been that long.

I graduated high school in 1979 and took my first road trip that summer on a Yamaha 500 (a friends bike). Had a couple of bikes after that... but nothing that I took seriously. Started to get more serious around '97. Been hardcore ever since. This will be my 5th year of riding all year long. Sold my car 3 years ago and have never regretted it.

I currently plate 4 bikes.

well i have been runnin' on moto fumes since i was 10 so that makes for 18years. not racing, yet, a friend of mine that is a racer thinks i sould get an AHRMA license.....another racer friend of mine thinks i should race cyclo-cross (Bicycles, for those not in the know).....i just don't know.....i like riding don't like compeating....won the only skateboard contest i was in.....

dirtbikes and three wheelers when I was a kid. rode my first streetbike at 19 and then got my license and bought the same bike a couple years later for $100 that I'm still riding today. that poor bike. got my racing license in 2000 and made the last race of the season only to crash twice. yup, still racing

jd, actually id call your first weekend at the track just crashing, since there really wasnt alot of actualy racing involved. its good to know youve actually gone to the races to start racing now. and i have to admit, you do both pretty well!!!

I started out riding atv's at 14 and had a real bad spill that almost totaly removed my right ear and about a year later I bought my first dirt bike a 1981 RM 80 that I also had a nasty crash with, I only lost the tip of my finger on that one. I started racing last year and I could of did better but ya know there is always next year....

Im still trying to recover from having a brand new honda xl 80 when I was twelve. Crashed it three months later head on into my friends sp175 suzuki who was coming to go trail riding with me. Still somewhat nervous around corners,LOL. Since then:

1984 Honda xr250 in 1986
1981 Honda cm450 in 1987
1986 rebel 250 I know you cant stop laughing.in 1987
1983 Kawasaki GPz750 in 1989 to 1992
9 year layoff
1993 Honda xr650L in 2002

Started riding a Z50R when I was in the fourth grade. I can still remember my friend sitting next to me playing with his matchbox in his desk at school while I was reading my owners manual. I got my bike license before my car license at around 15 or 16. My first bike was a green 75CB550K that my father gave my older brother but he didn't want it because it still had the vetter fairing and baggage on it. I've recently purchased a 77 CB550F after taking about ten years off.
