Giro Bike!?!

55 Airel Colt 200. Not running but nice looking. Missing the Muffler, tool box and proper headlight. Motor is siezed but I think an easy fix. When did you last see one of these? Asking $1200, would consider a trade. Also have a 55 Triumph cub, all apart, $1500. I may have two Honda s65s, make one, but I think they are spoken for--will know for sure next week (I have $300 in them, make offer).

Hi Mike,

In 1955 they only had one model, the T20. The smaller, 150cc model was the Terrier, T15.

This bike has the plunger rear suspension and a big headlight narcelle. I think it has 18" wheels, or maybe 19". In 1956 they changed to the "chubby cub" that still had the plunger frame but 16" wheels so that it would be lower to the ground.

The bike is complete except for maybe the proper headlight inner reflector, the tire air pump and part of the chain guard. Of course there may be a few small items gone, like nuts and bolts, but I would say it is 99.9% complete. All tinware is very nice and seat is excellent. I bought it in boxes from a friend 6 or 7 years ago. He bought it together around 1977 and promptly took it all apart, labeling everything well, until the ink and pencil faded away....
