I think it is fascinating that interceptors everywhere else in the world (including mexico) got the 18" Boomerang Comstars where as we got stuck with those shitty 16" cast mag fronts in the US.

I really like the look of the Comstars. Can't remember riding a bike with a 16" front wheel, so couldn't comment on the handling. The problem with them over here is with the tyre (tire) choice, it seems to be very limited.

I like the VF400F and the VF500F's. They do far more for me than the bigger VF750F. The VF500F is probably the best of the pre- VFR750 / NC-24 V-four era.
Honda probably sold the cast VF wheels, not the Comstars, in the US due to patent problems or liability issues. Saul would see dollars in the air with those loose Comstar rivets.

How is someone delusional enough to believe that is worth $75K?!
1. It isn't even close to a 1961 RR body. It is probably closer to a 1968
2. How is putting a RR body on a generic Chevy dually truck frame going to make it worth $40-50K more than a decent 1968 Rolls that is , in fact a Rolls?
Good question. You could buy both donors for well under 15K. Another 100 for oxy acetylene and beer. Invite a few buddies over and bob's your uncle.

Every RGV I have ridden or touched has got a bad second gear. I wonder if parts are available any more. At least you can get the gear clusters out through the tranny door. TZR's and NSR's are far better road bikes.

I've always thought they were horribly overpriced for what they are. Just because they are a modern 2 smoke and registered in the states folks ask 7k for them. I'd rather get a nice Kenny Roberts replica for 5k or less.
