Just thought I'd say hi! I've been on two wheels for 30+ years (started with a dirtbike at 6 or 7) and have always had a taste for speed. My current rides are is a '05 Triumph SprintST 1050, '96 Triumph SuperIII(Cosworth goodies...Mmmmmm) and I've just come full circle. My very first street bike was a 76 CJ360 that I stripped out to the point of being ridiculous, flat bars, cowl seat, the works. Well, I was just given a very clean 76 CB500T that I plan to take as far as I can. I've already got a 'glass cowl seat and front fender on the shelf as well as clip-ons ordered as of this morning. The plan is to strip off everything not needed for structure or function, improve a few areas and have fun in the local hills and canyons. I've got the big bikes if I want to do anything really serious.
I own a custom fabrication shop so milling up triple clamps and rear sets shouldn't present much hassle, some alloy motormounts etc.
Anyway, nice to see some guys who like the cool old stuff too!
Lead, follow or get out of the way!
