I hear it's a spoof on the old drive-in double-feature B movies, horror and car chases. I love Tarantino's stuff, and I hear he really shows off in this one. A lot of people don't like him, but I doubt any of them are on this forum.

I also want to see Frank Smith's latest, 300. Loved Sin City, surreal.

Yep, both those on are my list of movies to see. Loved Sin City, first new thing to come along in cinema in quite a while. Love the true story of the Spartans, never read the "graphic novel" but love the idea of a stylized version of the story.

Plus.... Michael Parks (Bronson) is in Grind House...as he was in the Kill Bill series. Who did one of the best pieces of acting I've ever seen as Raole the Central American pimp in Kill Bill. Not to mention being the sheriff too. Love the way Tarantino casts his films, with forgotten talent and new talent.

Saw a short trailer where Kurt Russell tells the girl...this car is death proof.....if you are sitting in my seat...hehe.

Saw 300 last night. Holy fucking shit in a handcart. It was awsome. Went to see it with the fiancee and she didn't speak for a good 45 minutes after the movie, she was that traumatized by it. When she did speak eventually she said it was good and she liked it. They never told me the Battle of Thermopylae was that cool when I was falling asleep in latin class (yeah latin, nobody teaches greek anymore in high schools).

Is it wrong that I kept wanting to cheer during that movie? usually during the goriest parts?

Grindhouse is next on the list.

and it is Frank Miller, not frank smith.
