well, that had to be two of the nicest days weather wise i have ever experienced at n.h.i.s.!
never got around to congratulate mike o. on his second place finish in form cb., he and others handed me my ass.
freakin' j not that d stalled his bike on the grid, pushed off to the side, and restarted after we were all through t1, caught me on the second or third lap in the back straight area. he passed me so hard, fast, and clean i felt like i was sitting on my bike drinking tea.
timothy then gave me a near death experience in t3 when he shot inside of me a little hot. he was cool, going wide left, willing to take his lumps in the dirt/gravel, rather than trying to jam it in to make it stick at all costs. i thank you again for being that predictable and cool.
and rabbie of course slaughtered the field.
on the reiju, joe root got his 1st ride and he handed me my ass first lap in t1a. i then had a battle with "lou from maine, #241" who passed me for second in t3 on the last lap. charging hard up the hill to catch him, i spit the chain off in t4. race over, dnf!
so i spent over $250.00 in gas and tolls getting there to dnf and grab a lousy fourth. i had a blast and would gladly do it again. thinking hard about frontier land. i might need an october race fix, and two days trackside sure beats one.
good to see jeremy and his enormous noggin'. aaron, thanks for the dough. and mike o., respect. come on down to summit 9/17, so i can get some revenge.
peace,
tex
