you effin' bike nerd. i don't know anything 'bout the handholds calculator or the destructive forces of resonance. however, i am a fan of bluegrass and three part harmonics.

but what i do know is that the little 400f isn't oiling anymore and i tossed the sling today.

lets ride-

you sure there's any oil left in there?

congrats on the sling-less-ness! I picture you in a gardener version of the training scene from 'Rocky 4'.... maniacally pulling weeds out of the ground with your bum arm to build braking strength!

thank you monsignor! I never downloaded it because I run mac. Now I have the dual platform/ parallel jammy, PC and MAC on the same computer. The best of both worlds. Now that I have PC-ability I want to nerd out on all the PC stuff I could never run.

Plus timmy hates nerds.

I will appreciate any Clever Dog software that arrives in my inbox!

Seth - what you trying to build, a rocketship? I hear NASA is looking for a few good men....

Tim, good news on the sling taking a hike.... I think you should intentionally drip oil off that f400, I believe it makes handling a bit better with a squirrly rear tire, which also seems to fit your fast, albeit crazed, riding style! See you soon! How was the fair?

Listening to Uncle Tupelo's Anthology at work.... as you can see, working hard!

bfd-

tweedy sucks...farrar rocks. who hasn't ripped the stones?

but yeah, i love all those guys. uncle tupelo was still a local college band back home when most nights found me at the Blue Note in Columbia, MO. i got to see them almost every month by accident. there really isn't anything like those two voices together...that and their old stuff is about the places i used to run around in.

two hands on the wheel
may the wind take your troubles away-

Saw Son Volt play a small club in Cambridge awhile ago and while playing that very song you quote I realized the reason I couldn't see the fiddle player on stage was because it was a pre recorded solo. Really bummed me out. Didn't really listen to that album much after that. I guess I always preferred the Tweedy songs on the Uncle Tupelo records better anyway
There is a Wilco/Sonic Youth episode of Austin City Limits that PBS usually plays during pledge time. Well worth it.
