Helmut Fath Desmo bits

An old friend emailed me wanting to sell a Helmut Fath racing cam for a 250 or 350 cc Ducati Desmodromic engine, together with a set of Fath valve springs (inner and outer) for same. Never used.
I know even less about this stuff than most things. Are these good things? Should he sell them on ebay? any thoughts...anyone?

ahhh.....errrrr......ummmmmm

if it is a desmo, why does it have valve springs?

is this some sort of trick question?
