he bent a valve....the bike is still pretty, and in practice he was screaming, just pushed a bit too hard in practice....he is happy with the potential he saw in practice this morning...and i am having a hard time up loading the pics..so you will have to wait for pics...

thats too bad. the more you build those hondas, the more you have to watch the tach. most guys i know running the hot rods use rev limiters. the tolerances are just way too close. that kid can bend valves in anything!

actually right before he bent the valva he was having a conversation with a honda guy and talking about just that.....he was only up around 12.5 or something like that....btw they are all crashing out i was just at the hotel and they were sitting around watching friends....even with my bar and beer coaxing, they didn't budge, don and jd were drinking though...

And with OEM guides eewwww, another no-no.

I've lost my instructions...anyone know how to set a dyna rev limiter to 12,000

How'd the pistons hold up..anybody know? Did they take a lickin and keep on tickin?

Aaron, I've got spared used OEM valves in good shape if you need them.

Glad to hear Aaron and the bike are each in one piece it would sure be ashame if something happened to the bike its one good looking piece.
A buddy and I R heading back down on Saturday to go out to the swap meet in Deland U interested in goin? Gonna take the Element in case we find parts/bikes plus its easier to carry beer.

actually, i called them at 9 and they were already all up and going bananas. it sounded like fun. aaron seemed to be in a pretty good mood. and i got the info on other club guys i was wondering about.

i have aarons cell number, but i dont think he ever answers it, nor does he ever really charge it. he said hed look for a place to upload some pics.
