Aaron:
Well, the 350 is bitchin. unbelievable. faster.stronger. cooler looking and sounding.
But after a lot of thought, and MANY MANY emails with JB, I decided I had to get the cam refaced. After tearing down the engine 4 times for various reasons after rebuild and running each time to make sure things are just right, I decided that I better take care of cammy. (Did I mention I had to replace the crank? That was shot too. I have replaced about 80% of what this engine had due to the abuse it took when it ran out of oil pressure) So off it went to mega cycle, at which point they said they would not reuse it even to have it refaced. So I sent them a stock 175 cam, and am now awaiting its return which should be by the end of the week if I am lucky. I was polite and sort of asked for a bit of a rush, due to vintage celeb coming up. So i should have about a week to get it all back together, which at this point, takes about 45 minutes from the moment I start to the time I can start it up, due to the fact I have done this so many times.
Now all I need is some good luck. I am going to the Hawk school regardless with the 350 to get some track time in before the vintage celeb and to make sure the bike is all fettled.
see ya soon. I'll have some photos up soon.
