Well Hi everyone,
Another year has started at the Niskygarage and Im trying to build another cool bike with the trouble kids. Last years was a huge success and now I want to do it again. You have seen this bike through all the stages of the build and some of you have seen it live at Mid-Ohio. Now here is the question how much do you think it is worth?? Im paying for the next project out of pocket and Im afrade the only way I can do it is sell the cb/sl. Im going to pump all the money into the next build which will help out alot since Im getting Married this year and have to pay for that too. Oh and by the way A teachers salary is not that good. <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>even though I seem to be spending money on these projects like a drunk salor, I have had a TON of support from people like YOU!!!!!!! and that has helped 100%. so THANK YOU!!!!
Well now I would love to hear what you think
If you forgot the website is http://niskygarage.logical.net
Thanks in advance and Ill talk to you all soon

Sorry. Don't know what to tell you. I'd buy either CB in a heartbeat if I wasn't a broke-ass High School teacher myself.

Find a local bike night and push a Raffle? You can make a lot of money but you've got to really push the raffle sales. Also, Set a minimum amount you need to make and if you don't cover that in ticket sales, be prepared to refund the $$$.

The raffle is probably the best idea, if not you could always go the ebay route with a higher reserve price and see what kind of response you get

Hey someone pas me the wrench........ Ahh screw it where is the torch

richie,

if you go ebay, take lots of detailed pictures (24 and don't skimp on the supersize or gallery, etc), tell your story (about the kids, etc) in the description, tell of your plans for the proceeds (new project with the kids), list your website for further questions and so they an see the other bike as well, and thank all of your sponsors for the original project and whatever you got on this project so far! set a good reserve (i'm thinking $3000-4000), and offer a buy it now ($5000 maybe), and do a ten day (schedule it so you get two weekends and so it ends on a sunday (i.e. - start it on a thursday, around 9pm/est - that way it will end on a sunday at 6pm/pst). offer to ship via forward air, and offer to sell and ship worldwide (you'll be surprised on the interest overseas)! also, make a new ebay profile for yourself (one for the kids and your account), so if you get donar bikes, and need to part out stuff your not using, you can sell it on the nisky ebay account. i thought your name could be niskygarage (how simply perfect is that)! also go set up a savings or checking account at a bank for this endevor. see if the bank will "sponsor" you. then hook up the new account with your ebay profile, and do the paypal to that account as well. now i think your in business and about ready to turn wrenches. let us know how you decide to proceed. if you ebay, i'll gladly crosspollenate your auction to a bunch of motorcycle sites i visit (wera, vrra, etc...) and steer interest to your auction!

sorry to sound so preachy, you just seemed so indecisive!

tex

p.s.- in summation: sell the bitch like you originally planned so you can make $$$ and afford to build another incredible bike with the kids! remember, it's all about the kids!

Rich: M&S cycle (Steve) in Scotia is having his famous fall ride this saturday. Weather is suppose to be nice. People gather at 7am and everyone hits the road at 8am. Lots of british cafe bikes. It may be worth riding the bike down to M&S to show it off a bit...drum up some local support for raffling the CB or funding the next project. Just a thought.
