Surprised you didn't use the old "fill it completely full of oil and whack it with a hammer" technique to remove the seals, so you didn't have to take the fork apart! Well done.

Or for bushings in blind holes.. fill with grease and use a drift that is a snug fit in the bushing. Wouldn't recommend it in alloy cases cause it might go really wrong.. come to think of it, I wouldn't recommend it at all.
