Pretty much says it all doesn't. It was practically free but unfortunatly after years of indoor hibernation it is going to live outside as I have no room whatsoever. Turns over, has compression and spark, be a matter of days before she sparks to life.

Oh for those who don't know what it is, it is a 1982 cb900F, that's right baby 900ccs of honda fury. I already have the same body style 750 and that bike will do the ton all day long and is completely stable. should be fun.

Geet, nice score dude. I wouldn't say this is qualification for fucktardation. Quite the opposite. You'd be a fucktard if you had that King and Queen seat recovered with a diamond tuck 2 tone to match your touring leathers and helmet, but I'm sure you weren't considering that option.
I wonder if those trick rear shocks are rebuildable...

I'm a fucktard only because this makes nonrunning motorcycle #5 in my 13 bike collection and also because eventhough I don't have any space for it I still took it in. However I was messing around with it today and it almost started so maybe after the weekend I'll have it rideable. I just really didn;t need another project right now.

The rear shocks are Marzocchi and the seals are still good on them. They are also air adjustable which is just badass. The top shock rubber is a little worn but it takes the stock cb750F/900/1100 rubbers so I have tons of them around.

I have a stock seat for it off my 1979 750, but corbin makes a "gunfighter" seat that is 10 times better and costs about as much as having any seat recovered.

Hey nice score. Those were kind of good looking bikes. I found a 74 T500 in a field all complete except left side cover. always nice to pick up a scoot for free/cheap.
That head light is for Air Plane spotting. or maybe that pro stock look.

There should be a formula for determining the status of the collector/collection of bikes. Maybe in part based on the number of running machines vs total number in collection. Then factor in degrees of rarity/availability, origin, complexity of each machine. Condition, roadworthiness/livingroomworthiness. Variety.
Fuckit, that's too complicated.
Anyway, one time a couple summers ago, for about 1 week, I had every bike in my "collection" running. When I came to that realization, I was giddy, almost euphoric for a couple minutes. I knew it wouldn't last, and in fact it didn't. They started dropping like F16s with total electrical failures. The S90 holed it's piston, the TS100 modified itself on a tree stump, I decided to switch the XL600 streettracker back into street mode, etc. etc.
Now I'm not so concerned about how many are running. Actually that's a lie. I'd like to have 'em all running. But there's always the anticipation...
