I don't think we got N's. '81 were T's that look like Ews's and '82 they went to the 450 nighthawk.
thay are not a big bikeGot a closer look at the guy's CB today. The fairing blocked me from seeing the vin# but I was able to see that the sticker say's its a 1980 CB400T. Not sure if this would be a bike worth chasing after or move on and find something else for the wife.

Is your primary drive all good? Is always the best place to start, if there is a problem there it devastates everything down line..... When at lower speeds I notice what I can only describe as a slight surging or hesitation....

Does your bike have a rubber cushion rear hub? They can cause problems if not correctly maintained.
You know what a racing clutch really is? <- a regular clutch with slightly stronger springs. That qualifies.
