So now I'm on the road to the T-dot (Toronto in Canuckese) to find that sucker and introduce him to the bottom of my foot.

Seriously.

I love Minis. I had 2 (sob sob) and I have never seen anything so terrible done to one before.

I think a little part of me just died...

I don't know guys...I kinda like it, it's...um...different.

When I was a kid there was a guy in the neighborgood who had a mini with a chevy small block in it (RWD and th400 tranny), you sat in the back seat to drive it. That car had the best power to weight ratio of any I had ever seen. Another friend of mine had a blue one with a tilt fiberglass nose. Awsome car and it handled like a go kart.

Well the one I had and drove was..well...you might call it a sleeper. I'd been interested in minis for oh about 8 years, and had these two for about 2 years. After much research on mods, I came across a popular mod that the britts were all over. Simply put, a honda b series motor, usually the jdm b16b, slides right in to the front of the mini with little to no body work, only a new custom subframe. So for about 5 grand, you now have a 185HP, 1400lb car, that handles like a go-cart.

Sigh good times. Alas, I had to sell them both to put me through college.

Oh yeah and Tex;

Pics of what I'm up to.

Basically just waiting on parts, and soon I'm going to attempt a glass seat.

I'll keep you updated with pics.

I always wondered about putting a b16 motor in a mini. Got any pics of the swap?
