I am currently in Japan. I just bought me a sweet little bike. It's a 1992 Yamaha SRV250 Soulful V-Twin, and I can't find ANY useful information on it! I have been looking for a service manual but its almost as if this bike doesn't exist. Carb parts and the sort are impossible to find online. The local bike shop can get parts but they are EXPENSIVE!! $85 for one pilot jet and two mains. So if you guys have any info or know where to find stuff let me know! Thanks!
They were sold as an official import over here for a few years - kind of a shame they stopped selling them because I think they look sweet for a learner bike.
Same engine as the 250 Virago I believe - although the Virago had a single carb (??).
Sweet!!! Nice lines on that bike!! 'cept maybe that ugly tail lamp..
bet its fun to ride being so lite and set up the way it is..
I'd want one just to throw around town and short trips...
So , I'm guessing these didnt come into the US..
Thinking they used two carbs to easyly facilitate cooling the rear cylinder ...
two carbs should really wake up that motor, with possibly no detriment to mileage ...
these are now prob Fuel Injected like the SR400 is now ..
Virago/V-star mill with peak power bumped about 25%, to 27 horsepower. Unfortunately, low-end power drops correspondingly.
