tonight was the final night for the st races. i missed all of them. none of the guys ive raced with in the past few years are going. so i skipped it. buckys the only one now with an xr100 but he can never get off work. bj said hed be interested in giving it a try, but it never happened. im too lazy to go myself. you know how it is. a lot of sitting around and doing nothing for long periods of time. i wanted to go. i used to be able to count on chris m, he was always a good instigator, but nope. my friend denise is in town and she usually goes, but shes "busy" tonight. oh well. i actually get a bigger kick out of the indoors anyway. i like the surface better, and the fact ts on concrete. the outdoor one is usually a potholed mess. still fun though. someone else will have one for the indoors, im sure of it. and hopefully bucky will make a few of them.
thats all good info. ive been wondering if its worth getting "cheaper" stuff. you know, i dont want to spend 1k on gear that im rarely going to use. my thighs took a pretty good beating last time out. riding on the grass is an entirely new thing to learn. i tucked the front and the bars came around and pinched my leg between the tank and them. when it went down on that side, all of my weight, the bike, and the force pinched my leg. its got a real nice yellow bruise on it, and a bunch of dead skin. weird. on the 100, my knees are always smashing the bars. it freaking hurts! so i need them for sure. ive also heard bar risers....but i like the position of these i think. i do need boots, but i think roskos got me covered there. i really want shin protection, a rigid sole, and most important i want them to be waterproof. the armor im going to have to go try on someplace. for like you said. the adjustments etc....i dont have goggles yet. need a pair.
ive never liked the moose stuff....but ill look at it again. ill have pics from this weekend this time. and maybe some video!
