I just wanted to say hi. My name is Kirk and I am a 28 year old tattooist from Laurel Maryland. I have been in love with cafe racers for at least ten years now. I have not ever owned a bike before but have riddin several many years ago. anyways...
After a long time kicking around the idea and looking for the right project for the right price, I picked up an 81 Yamaha xs400. It already had clubman bars, cafe seat/tail, custom exhaust and a few other little bits and bobs here and there.
After a carb rebuild, clutch change, new battery, and a new satin black paint job she is running great!
I have alot planned for this bike and look forward to picking some brains around here for info and help.
I will try to get some pictures asap.
