Talladega - the motorcycle track
All motorcycles. There was one dirt track car race that my brother in law let me take his car out once. I have no idea what the name of that was. And one old, long gone motocross track in Owego NY.
craig, you gotta do vir. your bike will love that track. you never did schubie huh?
mike o probably knows that motox course. hes an oldschool motox racer. ran huskys and cz's and stuff like that back int he day.
and fr, come out. its really laid back. frank smith told me they built the track without pulling any permits or any involvement with the neighbors. the just brout in pavers and excavators and went at it. then they let it sit for like 2 years untouched i guess while it was batlled out. then just started racing on it. the neighbors werent really happy i guess, but it was done. and i guess they had some clout so it flew. with all the other noise there, i cant see it makes any real difference. its a neat place. right out of the 60's it seems.
yeah, its one of the places i never got to either. i think race maybe runs there, and they have vintage classes. but it will be with a lot of strangers probably. mike talked about how great the place was. bummer. vir is almost always in march. anyway i can help ill try. your bike will rail there.
i wanna see frank c's list! karls is probably pretty good too.
