fitted up on some of the smaller racers

really one heck of a wheel and brake





I kinda dig straight pull spokes and big diameter drums with wide shoes

especially when they aren't very heavy

the straighter the pull, the more nervous i get about a spoke head breaking out of the hub. and also about the braking forces "winding up" rim on the hub. but i guess a little bike will only go slow and have a small rider. ;)

ps the proportions of that set-up have me wondering from what bike did it originate.

that front wheel came off a nearly 600 pound Italian bike

I've never heard of one breaking unlike the early BMW hubs

only fetched 113 with a signed Borriani record........

nothing special but they do get kinda heavy dressed out
