Well...I see what you mean then.

Sure whould have liked to see someone build a killer lightweight, good handling, real deal CB350 to run in 350gp.

I've never seen a group of people like the CB350 crowd that seems so oblivious to weight considerations. The typical CB350 race bike weighs 360+ lbs...that's crazy. My 200cc bike weighs about 205 right now. Can't tell me 125cc and another 8 hp requires an extra 160 lbs. I bet I could build a CB350 that weighed 260 lbs. No...I'm not going to do it...but bet I could.
I think the original CB350/350GP rules were written under the assumption that people would try to build real race bikes out of the CB's, that didn't seem to happen. Where's the custom frames (yes legal), where's the alloy wheels, alloy sprockets, glass tanks, smaller chains, mag ignitions. Hell, half of them seem to still have fully tabbed frames, starters (elec+kick), stock tanks, big ass seats, rear sets made out of re-bar, batteries big enough for a car, OEM exhaust clamps that weight a pound a piece.

Look at bikes like Talabach's Duc, it's not so fast just because of HP, it probably weighs 60 lbs less than most CB's.

Get with the program you guys, heck most of you are using tires big enough for a freakin 750. You got 30hp, put on some WM2s and little avons...well after you take 60lbs off the bike that is.

I wanna see one of the CBs in the FCB Class take second overall.

Bill,
Craig Hirko told me last year his bike was 365 lbs!!

A stock CB175 is about 300 lbs.

If your's is 307 lbs I'd say that's pretty light...but not light enough baby.

Tex...I'll bring a cutting torch.

Scott,
Yeah...you add the two together. The board is to keep the wheel that's off the scale at the same height.
Probably accurate to within about 4-5 lbs with a bathroom scale.

Rob,
We've been through that already.

Scott doesn't live at NHIS so it would be hard for him to reach that button from his house...where the bike is...which he wants to weigh...now.
